Hot galvanized wire gabion box
It is made from high grade Low Carbon steel iron wire, heavy zinc coated wire, PVC coated wire though twisting and braiding by machine.  as well as  galfan coated units. Galfan is a high performance galvanising process using a zinc/aluminium/mischmetal alloy coating. This offers significantly greater protection than traditional zinc galvanizing. Where the product is exposed to water courses or a saline environment, we strongly recommends a polymer coated galvanized unit for improved design life.

Different types of gabion box

• According to different material
  The gabion box can be divided into galvanized gabion box, PVC coated gabion box, Galfan gabions and 10% aluminum-zinc gabions. They all have excellent corrosion and rust resistance performance, but they are different in the chemical content and performance.
  • Galvanized gabion. The electric galvanized gabion has no higher than 90 g/m² zinc coating, which is economical. And the hot dipped galvanized gabion have more than 200 g/m² zinc coating to be used in the high corrosive applications.
  • PVC coated gabion. Steel wires or galvanized wire are coated with PVC, which supplies double protection for the gabions in the corrosive environments. The PVC coated gabion can be made into different colors to suit surrounding environments.
  • Aluminum-zinc gabions. The galvanized wires are added into different content of aluminum to form Galfan gabion and 10% aluminum-zinc gabion. They have triple service life than the galvanized gabions.

GABION BOX MESH INTRODUCE:

      Application process is high-strength galvanized steel wire is woven into rectangular cages of different specifications, and the cage is filled with stone structures. After this structure is applied to bank slope protection, the gaps between the stones are continuously filled with soil under the dual effects of man-made and natural factors. Plant seeds gradually take root and sprout in the soil between the stones, and grow vigorously, with roots firmly fixing the stones and soil. In this way, the purpose of slope protection and greening can be achieved, and the effect of improving ecology and preserving soil and water is also very significant.

    The length of the twisted part of the double wire shall not be less than 50mm to ensure that the metal coating and PVC coating of the twisted part of the steel wire are not damaged.

 

3. Wire diameter: Gabion mesh is divided into three wire diameters-mesh wire, edge wire, and binding wire.
    (1)  The wire is 2mm-4mm
    (2)  The edge wire is generally larger than the mesh wire, 0.5-1.0mm thicker than the mesh wire.
    (3)  The binding wire is generally smaller than the mesh wire, and the most common ones are 2.2mm.
4. Steel wire tension: not less than 38kg/m2 380N/mm
5. Surface treatment:  
   (1)   Electro-galvanizing. The amount of zinc applied is 10g/m2. Poor corrosion resistance;
   (2)   Hot dip galvanizing. The amount of zinc applied can reach 300g/m2. Strong anti-corrosion;
   (3)  Galvan: zinc-5% aluminum-mixed rare earth alloy steel wire; zinc-10% aluminum mixed rare earth alloy steel wire. Super anti-corrosive;
   (4)  PVC plastic coating. The thickness of the plastic coating is generally 1.0mm.
6. Partition: Add a partition every meter along the length of the gabion mesh.
7. Size: Can be customized according to standards.
